What a unique adventure a week on the island gives to young people.  From the moment campers step off the pontoon boat onto our eight water-bound acres, there is no doubt they are somewhere unusual. The island is completely separate from the mainland community.  By withdrawing from the rest of the world in a beautiful location in small community, campers and staff are allowed a special opportunity to interact with one another and God. It is one of the most unique communities for Junior High youth experience for a week and builds an amazing community that campers never forget.

"This year I tried something new, I tried the island.  The island was fun we tried new things that we don’t usually do.  Now that I came home from camp I really miss the counselors."

"I had the most fun ever!  CPBC has changed so much about my faith and who I am in my day to day life."

What is the Island?

Islanders come together on their own 8 acre island on Hagerman Lake for a week long experience to learn more about God and gain an appreciation for the natural environment around them.   Without the comforts of home, campers learn that life can be simple and uncomplicated as they go through the week.   The island offers lots to do for this 6th through 9th grade age group.  Doing team building activities, high ropes challenges, big group island games, the Tarzan swing, zip line and Dew swing, preparing meals, doing dishes, and sleeping in tents plus gathering at the camp fire each night for singing and talking all adds up to lots of fun and lots of learning.  Time to hang out together, laughing and talking, is also enjoyed by islanders.  Once you spend a week on the island, you will never forget the experience!  Islanders are a very unique group and love to tell you about it.

Campers sleep in Canvas Tents on top of wooden platforms.  Five campers can sleep in each tent on a separate bunk.  Each tent has three metal bunk beds with mattresses, and a bunk that is dedicated to keeping luggage off the ground.
