Pre-K Nature Program Day, November 7, 2007
The children from Miss Denise's pre-k program came for a discovery time about hibernation and migration.  Both sessions of  children were there and though the snow covered the ground, the kids were into the woods, enjoying the forest environment.  One  discovery group flew south to find warmth, food, and water.  While at their shelter they made fruit loop necklaces to remind them of  what geese need when they migrate.  The other group searched for animals that hibernate in the north woods.  They loved finding  pictures hidden in the right places of racoon, bear, and bats.  The children sang a song about getting ready for winter.
