With
118 middle school age youth and staff attending this weekend from
Illinois, an active, energetic, and fun filled time was had by all.
Churches participating were Crystal Lake, Hinsdale, Joliet, Libertyville, Naperville, North Park, Princeton, and Winnetka. Nate
Severson from Kansas City, spoke on the theme of community--ONE, BIG,
SMALL. Happenings during the time were low elements, high ropes,
climbing wall, island visit, Dutch Auction, Fugitive and Highlander
games,camp fire, sauna with swim, and some hang around time. Faithful
summer staff came from Chicago to add lots of helpful hands and happy
smiles to the weekend. As one youth leader put it, "I want to
thank yo for an awesome retreat."
