Praying for the Covenant Point Ministry
**Purdue was looking at other places to go for their May academic progran after 18 years with the Point. BUT they have decided to return for 5 more years!!!!
**Generous giving to the transportation/fuel fund to allow summer excursions and help with trip program costs.
**pray for 5 weeks of Purdue University Forestry Program coming May 3rd--there will be about 50 students, and several TA's and professors.
**We have a heavy May schedule with lots of school groups coming to the Point. Staff training also will be starting the end of May which will add to the mix.
**praise for all volunteer summer speakers in place.
**Summer camp registrations are coming in, pray that God will lead campers to come to the Point. Many mainland camps have many spaces available. We want campers to come to camp and be a part of the action.
**Each summer we hire about 35 college age counselors and program staff and 32 high school work crew. Recruiting is in full swing and many positions have been filled. Pray that we will be wise in the choices we make and that those chosen will prepare themselves well for a strenuous but joyfilled summer of ministry to youth.
**parents will make wise selections of summer camps for their children with so many choices of Bible, sports, and speciality camps.
**The cost of camping is high for some families. The church camper fund program is the primary subsidy to camping in the Central Conference. Pray that those adminsitering these funds will be inspired and blessed in their role in helping 100's of children encounter Jesus Christ at Covenant Point and Covenant Harbor this summer.
