Kinship Program |
|||||
|
A first time ever experience took place on May 30th at the Back 40 and the Island. 20 adults mentors, who are paired with 20 children in the community, were involved in various activities in order to work together and encourage each other to try something different. The program was developed by Point staff and funded by a grant written by Lisa Woods, coordinator of Kinship in Iron County. Those in 3rd and 4th grades did the following: big group cooperative games, archery and low elements, egg drop, Something Hunt, Visit to the Bog, and the Zip line. The island group of 5th graders and older completed a rotation of high ropes-climbing the play pen and woozy and two low elements - Log Jam and Nitro Pit. The Tarzan swing was also a challenging and fun time offering as well. |
