Second most heard phrase: :"I'M COMING BACK NEXT SUMMER"

Looking for a youth camp full of laughter, good food, new friends, great staff and counselors, fun adventures, new skills, creative programming, energetic singing, and dynamic spiritual imput?  Mainland camps run during June, July and August and are available to students entering
grades 2-12.

"I'm coming back to camp.  WHY wouldn't I?  It's the best    camp ever."    "It felt like we were at camp only an hour; it went so fast and  we had so much fun."

   What happens on the mainland?

Mainland activities are all done in major areas of the camp.  These are waterfront (complete with speed boats, tubing, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, three swimming areas, floating raft with diving board, and iceberg), nature center, arts and crafts, target sports, volleyball sand pit, canteen and game room.  Big group games and Choose Your Own Adventure have become a huge hit with campers as well as theme skits that tell an important story as the week moves on.  Each week of camp we invite an age-appropriate guest speaker to come and talk to the campers about their faith.  Singing is led by the summer worship director with staff and is always a crazy and moving experience.

Mainland Pathfinders

Each mainland program is unique to the age of camper that comes.  Our youngest camps, Pathfinders (for students entering grades 2/3/4), offer two day or four day sessions.  Low camper to counselor ratio, dedicated counselors and plenty of activities kick-start our youngest campers.  This includes a dose of Bible stories and an energetic staff.

"All staff and counselors were great!"

Mainland Explorers

Mainland Explorers (for students entering grades  3/4/5), gives the campers plenty of opportunities to hang out with the people they love the most while at camp--the staff.  Crazy singing times, camp fires, pumped up creative games and skits, catch the campers' attention so the staff can start to talk to them about what really matters--their faith walk with God.  The Explorer campers spend time each day in arts and crafts, on the waterfront, at target sports, out in nature, playing eliminaton, doing big group games and skill areas, while learning about God through the people around them.

Wilderness Week Trailblazers

Wilderness Week (for students entering grades 4/5/6) is a special week of camp that caters to the "elementary nature lover".  Activities near the water, under the forest canopy and out in the fields spur on the best parts of child-like faith.  Lots of exploration, cabin group fun, mainland big games, and a canoe experience make this mainland camp totally unique and full of natural awareness.  The camp size is smaller than other mainland camps averaging 38 campers which allows for more interaction and specialized activities.

"Singing songs in the nature building was the best."

Mainland Voyagers

Mainland Voyagers (for students entering grades 4/ 5/6/7) is the camp for the young person who likes choices.  Options are in place which let the campers, with guidance, design their own camp excitement for the week from Choose your own cabin activity to choose your own adventure or skill area.  All the mainland regular activiites are in the offerings as well with lots of time to enjoy each other and the staff while doing the fun camp experiences.  The speakers for these camp weeks are dynamic and know how to relate to youth in a fun and honest way.

Wilderness Week Navigators

Navigators ( for those entering grades 7 & 8) enable campers to enjoy the comforts of main land and reap the benefits of outdoor fun.  Led by the trip directors, campers continue to enjoy and learn about the woods and waterways of the area while being a part of some of the much loved activities of mainland, which are done along with the other camp in progress during this week.  With 30 campers, the smaller numbers promotes a close knit community and more personal interactions.

"The canoe experience was refreshing and exhilarating even  when I got wet."
Mainland Vanguard

This week gives campers going into grades 7/8/9 a time to hang  out at camp-- making new friends and seeing old camp buddies.  This is a fun filled week with choices galore, fun activities, crazy  themes, new skills, high and low ropes, choosing your own  adventures and just spending time together on the water and in  games.  Connection with caring and nurturing staff and  counselors provide plenty of memory making moments.  A  speaker of the week connects well with this age and finding out  more about God adds to the excitment.

"This was my second year at the Point and watch out because  I'm coming back next year!!"

Mainland Sojourners

Mainland Sojourners (for students entering grades 9/10/11/12) is the apex camp of Covenant Point. This week focuses on giving campers a chance to experience something they just can't do at home. Whether campers are involved in excursions, "faith in action" workshops, seminars, Braveheart or lake side fun,  campers know they are being encouraged and challenged in their faith.  Speakers and worship for this week are especially moving, while the spiritual nurturing of the staff is personal to each camper. The staff at the Point love to hang out as God's people--and we know that Sr. High campers do too!!
