Mainland
Program
"The counselors would all listen and help answer my questions." "At home, I do not have that much fun stuff to do but there was always so much to do at camp." "The Prayer Corner was very moving and provided a time of drawing closer to God." "There wasn't a time that I passed a staff member when they didn't greet me using my name." What Happens on the Mainland?
The Mainland offers a wide range of programming for various ages of campers. It is the perfect fit for a seasoned camper or a first time 2 or 4-day newby. With plenty of program staff and counselors, our campers at mainland have a 4 to 1 staff to camper ratio which results in lots of interaction and role modeling. Mainland campers remain at the main site of Covenant Point. Numerous sleeping lodges, an extensive waterfront, dining hall, large indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, nature building and pavilion, games fields, canteen, arts and crafts building, two camp fire locations, and target sports range allow for a wide variety of choices for age appropriate activities. Mainland activities include waterfront (complete with speed boats, tubing, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, three swimming areas, floating raft with diving board, and iceberg), nature center for outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, target sports, volleyball sand pit, canteen and game room. Big group games, Choose Your Own Adventure and cabin group activities have become a huge hit with campers as well as theme skits that tell important stories as the week moves on. Transportation
Each week of camp we invite an age-appropriate guest speaker to come and talk to the campers about their faith. Singing is led by the summer worship director with staff and is always an active and moving experience. Cabin devos and camp fire times also inspire campers to grow in their faith.
What all campers talk about and enjoy here at Point is the meaningful connections made with our staff and counselors who model and care for each camper during his or her week at camp. Making friends and being with Christian young adults adds up to special times of growth and learning along with great memories to take home. Safety and quality are emulated throughout all programs and with all campers. Videos: 2009/10 Camper and Parent Testimonials Please browse our summer programs, and find out when you can visit us.
