Men's Retreat at the Point

Once more the Point had a great turn out for the Men's Retreat March 6 - 8 with 120 from the U.P., WI, and IL churches. With  great sunny weather, lots of ice time led to the broom ball competition- Iron Mountain winning it all.  Great food, lots of talk, and skeet shooting also were high lights.  Speakers were Rev. Glenn Palmberg, former President of the Covenant, and Rev Jim  Sundholm, Director of Covenant World Relief, with the Band on hand to promote some tremendous singing.  The theme for the  talks were:  Measuring One's Life by Conviction Undeclared and Service Unfilled.  Pastor Glenn spoke to conviction and ideals while Pastor Jim added real life examples from World Relief. An offering of $2,262.00 was taken for the work in Sudan.
