ROCKIN' ROBINS SPRING 2010
No Child Left Inside
April 30th brought 18 little and big buddies together for the first interaction.  With a great start of graham crackers, apple slices, and  peanut butter for the snack, the children were able to be outside before the rains came. A new activity was introduced in which each little buddy with help from the big buddy found a tree to adopt. They explored many facts about the tree, did a bark rubbing with clay, named and tagged the tree. They will be checking up on the trees the next two times.  A new game was also presented and the happy faces below show how much the kid enjoyed it. When a storm moved through, it came time to dissect owl pellets, a favorite of the program. The many bones found and named were brought home in baggies to show the family. A guest reader came for the grand final.  Enjoy the photos below of the time together.

The best part of RR is finding nature--this frog received lots of attention from everyone.
