Retreat Pastor: Eric Sparrman

For the past three years, Eric and Bonnie Sparrman have served in Lund, Sweden, as Covenant Global personnel. As church-planters they’ve helped establish an English-speaking fellowship called LIFE International, which has now grown into a vibrant, invitational, Christ-centered community. It thrills them to see people from all over the world explore faith and friendship while growing closer to Jesus. Prior to Sweden, Eric served as a Covenant pastor in lower Michigan and the metro areas of Washington D.C., Kansas City, and Minneapolis. The ministry of Covenant Point is close to Bonnie and Eric’s hearts, having served on staff for many summers BC (before children) and returning often with family, as both speakers and campers. Eric is a musician, enjoys carpentry, bicycling, and day-hiking with Bonnie. The current joyful event of their lives is in the arrival of a first grandchild in September 2025.

Retreat Theme: The Power of Promise

How important is it for you to be known as a man of your word? – someone who tells the truth and keeps his promises. This weekend we will explore how Jesus teaches us the importance of promise-keeping and dependability – and how He strengthens His followers to stand for truth and trustworthiness in a world that has lost touch with these values.
