2027 Men’s Retreat

Come for a weekend of fun, fellowship, meaningful conversation, and worship. The Men’s Retreat is a highlight for many each year at Covenant Point. Invite your friends for the excellent food, good times, and life-giving worship and message. Recreational opportunities include a broomball tournament, afternoon jam session (bring your own instrument), snowshoeing, cross-country skiing on our groomed trails, sauna and polar bear dip, or games and conversation in the dining hall.
Check-in begins at 7:00 PM on Friday, with our first gathering at 8:00 PM.

A $25 processing fee will be kept in the case of any cancellation one week (7 days) or more from the start of the retreat. In the case of a cancellation less than one week from the start of the retreat, no payments will be refunded. Any cancellations related to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.
2027 Retreat Pastor
Dan Hinz serves as the Lead Pastor of Bethesda Church in Rockford, Illinois. Prior to Bethesda, Dan founded and served as the Lead Pastor of Grassroots Church. He is also a published author of The Wild’s Whisper and Frowntown. Dan is married to Natalie, and together they have three daughters—Chara, Grace, and Zoe. Outside of ministry, Dan enjoys traveling, hiking and camping, water skiing, golfing, hitting the gym, and reading a good book.
2027 Retreat Theme:
In a world constantly shaping us, Romans 12:1–3 calls us to a different way of living: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This retreat is an invitation for men to step away from the noise and pressures of the world and intentionally pursue the way of Jesus.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to prioritize spiritual formation—not simply believing the right things, but becoming the kind of men who live like Jesus. Through practices, community, and time with God, we’ll learn to slow down, create space for transformation, and faithfully practice the way of Jesus in our everyday lives.
