2023 Men’s Retreat

 7pm Friday, Feb 24 – 10am Sunday, Feb 26

Come for a weekend of fun, fellowship, meaningful conversation, and worship. The Men’s Retreat is a highlight for many each year at Covenant Point. Invite your friends for the excellent food, good times, and life-giving worship and message. Recreational opportunities include a broomball tournament, afternoon jam session (bring your own instrument), snowshoeing, cross-country skiing on our groomed trails, sauna and polar bear dip, or games and conversation in the dining hall.

Check-in begins at 7:00 PM on Friday, with our first gathering at 8:00 PM.

*If it becomes apparent that we cannot run a retreat as planned due to COVID-19 considerations, we reserve the right to make changes to capacity, program, or calendar as necessary. Prior to each retreat, we will be in communication with participants regarding instructions and policies to reduce health risks for our participants and staff. Any cancellations related to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.

  • Full Retreat: $145 ($130 Early Bird)
  • Fri Night – Sat Dinner: $125 ($105 Early Bird)
  • Sat Only (No Lodging): $90 ($80 Early Bird)
  • Full Retreat, Commuter (No Lodging): $110 ($100 Early Bird)
  • Pastor Rate, Full Retreat: $80
  • Pastor Rate, Saturday Evening Departure: $70

When registering, please make payment for full amount due. A $25 processing fee will be kept in the case of any cancellation one week or more from the start of the retreat. In the case of a cancellation less than one week from the start of the retreat, no payments will be refunded. Any cancellations related to COVID-19 will be refunded in full.

Speaker & Theme

2023 Men’s Retreat Speaker:

We are excited to announce this year’s Men’s Retreat Speaker: Paul Robinson! Paul Robinson is the Executive Minister of Love Mercy Do Justice for the Evangelical Covenant Church. The mission of LMDJ is to join God in making things right in a broken world. Prior to this role Paul was Senior Community Leadership Manager with the Wilder Center for Communities, former Director of the organization’s James P. Shannon Leadership Institute and Church Planter. Paul has partnered with nonprofit, for-profit, education, government and community individuals and organizations in core value clarification, leadership development, intercultural agility, anti-racism and capacity strengthening to help them better lead themselves and others. Paul is most comfortable at the intersection of ideas, difference, passion and effective action. He enjoys using his skills in meeting design, facilitation and convening to catalyze meaningful connections to stimulate individual and community transformation. Robinson holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary. Paul Robinson is 2017 AARP Minnesota and Pollen Fifty over Fifty honoree. Paul is married to Kim and together they have seven adult children. Number seven, Danyelle Joy Robinson is a student at St. Thomas University. Robinson’s combined experience in ministry, business, nonprofit management, and leadership
development spans 25 years.

2023 Theme:Men After God’s Own Heart” (I Sam. 13:14).  During our time together we will reflect on what it means to live in a way that reflects well the heart of God. We will explore selected stories from the life and times of David, the Shepherd Boy who became a King. Participants will have the opportunity for individual and small group study, reflection, prayer, and response.
