Update on Fall & Winter Retreat COVID-19 Protocols:

September 1, 2021

Following a safe and successful summer ministry, we are grateful to be planning for the reopening of fall and winter retreats for the 2021-2022 season. In conjunction with health professionals, we will continue to make appropriate adjustments to our protocols in order to prioritize safety. The following represents our current plan; please recognize that these policies are subject to change.

Even more than usual, we plan to embrace the natural beauty of camp and conduct as much programming outdoors as possible. Please plan to dress for outdoor activities!

Consistent with our 2021 summer policy, anytime campers or guests are outside, or inside with the group they have traveled with to camp, face masks will not be required. Face masks will be needed whenever indoors in mixed groups - such as when in the Dining Hall for meals and during worship in the Tabernacle. Efforts will be made to minimize situations requiring masks.

Retreats will operate at reduced capacity in order to allow groups to be lodged in their own space. Groups will function as “cohorts” during most program elements.

High-touch areas of our site and facilities will be sanitized at an increased rate. New sanitizer stations have been added to key areas, including all building entrances.

We are strongly encouraging all campers, guests, and volunteers to get vaccinated prior to participating in a camp retreat. All year-round staff have been vaccinated. We do have testing capability onsite, which may be utilized in conjunction with parents and our local health department.

A suspected or confirmed case at camp will result in clear and timely communication to affected family members, quarantining and medical care of the participant, supervised and programmed isolation of the whole group, and close contact with our local health department.

If, because of a COVID-19 exposure, illness, or related concern, you need to cancel, you will receive a full refund. Alternatively, you may transfer your deposit and fees to a future Covenant Point program. In the event of a full camp cancellation by Covenant Point due to COVID-19, all registration fees, including full deposit, will be refunded.

We look forward to welcoming you or your family member back to camp this fall or winter for a time away to enjoy the experience of community, outdoor adventure, rest, worship, and play.

Thank you for your trust!
